ALISA ZAIKA (b. 2001) is a composer, conductor and pianist from Kyiv, Ukraine. She has completed the BMus (honours) course at the Royal College of Music in London, UK where she is currently based and is continuing her Master's course (composition with professors Haris Kittos and Simon Holt and conducting with Prof. Howard Williams). She is an RCM Scholar and an artist of Talent Unlimited. Additionally, Alisa has been accepted into the Glover-Edwards conducting programme 2024-25 at the Royal Academy of Music.

Alisa has received prizes in international composition competitions, including the First Prize and upcoming performance of the winning work in the Cantori New York Score Competition and the Silver Medal in the 7th Manhattan International Music Competition. A recent highlight is production of her short opera “I (Romance)” (based on a novella of the same name by a Ukrainian writer M. Khvyliovy) at the RCM's Britten Theatre in collaboration with the Tête à Tête.

Alisa’s works have been performed in multiple countries across Europe - most notable concert venues include the Warsaw National Philharmonic (Poland), LSO St Luke's, the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall (UK) and Theaterhaus Stuttgart (Germany). Her music is also featured in the UCLA Library Contemporary Score Collection.

Before coming to the UK, Alisa studied piano performance with Prof. Iryna Barinova and composition with a renowned Ukrainian composer Alla Zagaykevych in the Kyiv State Music Lyceum named after M. Lysenko.
