Volodymyr Voyt - investigates the music of the avant-garde period bandura, playing in such styles as minimalism, baroque fusion, ethno-renaissance, etc. In the SAS project Volodymyr plays on a diatonal Kharkiv-style banduras, tuned microtonally. Their repertoire includes composed pieces by the duo, free and structured improvisations with the use of extended techniques, sound mixing of synthesised and electronically processed sounds. The duo has recently performed at the 45th Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival in Huddersfield, UK as part of UK/Ukraine season of culture receiving acclaim and positive media reviews.
