LENA SIEROVA was born in Kyiv in 1983. She studied composition with Hanna Havrylets at the National Music Academy of Ukraine, graduating in 2007.
She has held several positions in the world of music and art programming. From 2006-2007, she was the Art Manager of the International Youth Festival of Contemporary Academic Music “Music Marine Fest” and was director of the XIV International Forum "Music of the Young" in 2016. She also participated in the “Gaude Polonia” Scholarship Program of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland (2009), through which she completed an internship at the Krakow Academy of Music in the class of Prof. Zbignev Bujarski.
Since 2012, she has been an Associate Professor of the Department of Academic and Pop Vocals and Sound Engineering at the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management in Kyiv. She has been a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine since 2011 and received her PhD in Art Criticism in 2015. She is a Laureate of the L.M. Revutsky Prize (2013).
Sierova is an active composer. She has many performances in Ukraine and abroad. Her music has been performed in the concert halls of Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, England, Chile and Japan. She is a regular participant in Ukrainian New Music festivals and contemporary music projects.
