LENA SIEROVA was born in Kyiv in 1983. She graduated in 2007 from the Tchaikovsky National Academy for Music (the composition department), having studied composition with Hanna Havrylets.
She was the Art Manager of the International Youth Festival of Contemporary Academic Music “Music Marine Fest” (2006-2007) and a participant in the “Gaude Polonia” Scholarship Program of the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Poland (2009), in which she completed an internship at the Krakow Academy of Music in the class of Prof. Zbignev Bujarski.
Since 2012, she has served as Associate Professor of the Department of Academic and Pop Vocals and Sound Engineering of the National Academy of Culture and Arts Management (Kyiv). She has a been a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine since 2011, a laureate of the L.M. Prize Revutsky (2013), a candidate of Art Criticism (2015), and director of the XIV International Forum "Music of the Young" (2016).
Lena Sierova is аctively engaged in creative activity as a composer. She has many performances in Ukraine and abroad. Sierova’s music has been performed in the concert halls of Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Belarus, Poland, Austria, England, Russia, Chile, and Japan. She is a regular participant of Ukrainian New Music festivals and contemporary music projects.
