OLGA PASICHNYK is a Ukrainian-Polish soprano who achieved fame for her opera, concert and lieder performances. She studied piano and musical pedagogy in native Rivne, voice at the Kyiv Conservatory and at the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. In 1992, being a student, she became a soloist of the Warsaw Chamber Opera, four years later she debuted on the stage of Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris as Pamina in W. A. Mozart's Magic Flute.

She has succesfully played major roles in operas of Monteverdi, Pergolesi, Gluck, Handel, Mozart, Weber, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, Debussy, Poulenc, contemporary composers in most of the countries of Europe, Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Israel and USA. Pasichnyk has performed in famous concert halls and theatres, including Opéra National de Paris - Opéra Bastille, Palais Garnier, Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Théâtre Châtelet, Salle Pleyel (Paris), Dutch National Opera, Concertgebouw (Amsterdam), Komische Oper Berlin, Berliner Konzerthaus, Berliner Philharmonic, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Teatro Real, Auditorio Nacional de Música (Madrid), Bayerische Staatsoper, Münchner Philharmonie, Palais des Beaux-Arts, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie (Brussels), Theater an der Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus, Bregenzer Festspiele, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Finnish National Opera, Flemish Opera, Polish National Opera, and Tokyo Suntory Hall.

Pasichnyk has collaborated with Boston Symphony Orchestra, Belgium and Polish National Philharmonic Orchestras, Polish National Radio Orchestra, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, China National Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Nacional de España, RTVE, Luxemburg Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Scottish SO, Sinfonia Varsovia, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Wiener Symphoniker, L’Orchestre de Radio France, L’Orchestre National de France among others;  with period instruments orchestras Concerto Köln, La Grande Ecurie et La Chambre du Roy and Les Musiciens du Louvre – Grenoble, The English Concert, European Union Baroque Orchestra, Academy of Ancient Music, Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Freiburger Barockorchester, Orchestra of 18th Century. She has worked with conductors Harry Bicket, Fabio Biondi, Ivor Bolton, Andrey Boreyko, Frans Brüggen, Jean-Claude Casadesus, Marcus Creed, Paul Mc Creesh, Charles Dutoit, René Jacobs, Dmitri Jurowski, Roy Goodman, Philippe Herreweghe, Christopher Hogwood, Heinz Holliger, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Alessandro de Marchi, Marc Minkowski, John Nelson, Kazushi Ono, Sakari Oramo, Andrew Parrott, Krzysztof Penderecki, Trevor Pinnock, Marc Soustrot, Andreas Spering, Christoph Spering, Marcello Viotti, and Antoni Wit.

Olga Pasichnyk is the winner of various international competitions, including the International Vocal Competition in s’Hertogenbosch (the Netherlands, 1994 - II prize), Mirjam Helin International Singing Competition in Helsinki (Finland,1999 - II prize) and The Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition (Belgium, 2000 - III prize, Special Oratorio Prize and Public Prize). She has been awarded the Fryderyk (the highest Polish phonographic award) for the best solo recordings three times (Szymanowski, Lutoslawski, Caldara), Orfeo (Warsaw Autumn Festival prize), the Golden Cross of Merit of Poland, A. Hiolski’s prize for the best female opera role (Melisande, Debussy – Pelleas et Melisande – Polish National Opera). In 2005 she was nominated as the best opera singer of season 2004/2005 as Almirena (Handel, Rinaldo) and 2009-2010 as Roxana (Szymanowski, King Roger) by International Opera Magazine “Opernwelt”. In 2006 she received a Münchner Opernfestspiele prize. In 2011 - the annual Award of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, in 2012 - Officer Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland and in 2023, the Gloria Artis Medal (gold) for Merit to Culture.

She has recorded over 60 CDs and DVDs for different labels including CD Accord, Bis, DABRINGHAUS UND GRIMM, Harmonia Mundi, NAXOS, Sony, OPUS 111 and Opus Arte.
